Hey,

I have always wanted to learn about video conversion and whats behind it, take a program like WinAVI Video Converter, that can create DVD files, .AVI files and some other types, how does this work?

I would like to know how to do this in VB.NET 2005, in another language would be ok too if the code is clear i maybe able to convert it.

Could anyone give me hints, code, links, good search word combinations and anything else to information about this? its proving hard to find.

bump this thread up, I'm surely would like to know more about this kind of application. However, I don't think it would be that simple thought, it's going to be probably bunch of lines of code and require many parts on it XD haha... I've seen many Senior projects about this. Well, not exactly this, but about Video Rendering technologies

Yeah it will be a very big thing and require a lot of work but it would be well worth it i think.
