I haven't actually deal Java and XML, but I found out that this object is interesting and worth for you to try it out to parse an XML file.

Code:
XMLReader parser =
new SAXParser();
// Do something with the parser
parser.parse(uri);
hopefully that would help! good luck with your project!

kXML is an XML library for J2ME. (Google is your friend - define:kxml - Google Search)

As for tutorials, I didn't really find any good ones on Google that are readily available (not right now anyway). There is however the JavaDoc at the kXML site... It is small enough that it should work for you.

I don't really work much with Java. I just work with web scripting languages, like CSS, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, etc.

Anyway, I agree with everyone else. You can probably find extensive information on Google.

kXML is a J2ME library that allows you to work with XML. That's it.
