Hello everyone, I think I forgot to introduce myself before I posted
It is been 2 days I registered my account in this website. I know
this website from other forum too which is in the signature of one user.
At First, I wasn't interesting in this website. I just visit and left. But 2 days
ago I started to post my first post in this website and DAMN... People
in this forum is very friendly and nice. Now I think I am addicted to this
forum now...

About myself: I am 18 years old student, majoring Medical Doctor, but
passionate in programming and computer science. I didn't want to
study in that major but it was my parents choice. Since then I
don't have chance to do any programming. I have gave up programming
for a year now. Now I think I want to start programming again...
And I think this forum can help me out...

I think you should try to diccuss that with your parents and change your major. Tell them that it wouldn't be fun of studying something that you're not passionate about

I have many friends in the same situation as you do, I pushed them even they didn't really want to because they had to face their parents. But guess at the end, they loved what they're doing now good luck!

same with me - I found the link for this forum from Digital point forums... but I noticed this is purely programming related... so I just decided to post as much as possible I also decided to make a tutorial a day regarding VB 2005 and post it here... hopefully we will grow this community mighty big - how many members so far HelloWorld?

I'm going to wait for all of your tutorials about ASP.NET!!! Do you use more Visual Basic on your tutorial or C# ??? Because I'm thinking to use C# instead, but I've no problem in learning Visual Basic, but it seems like all new to me about Visual Basic.. I'm not sure on how exactly does it work, but I surely can get some of their basic tutorials.... hehe....

I'm a bigger fan of VB because that's what I'm used to but I can do all my tutorials in C# if needbe.... the syntax is pretty similar.

you don't need to if you don't want too, but I just prefer to use C# instead of VB. But it's fine if you feel more comfortable wrigint in VB, it's just that I guess I would probably need to adapt again with the codes... or may be... I need some basic VB tutorials lol....
