Pascal is procedural and modern languages are object-oriented.

I could go into the grand family trees of ALGOR and FORTRAN and Pascal's place in it, but sounds not the answer to the question.

pascal is procedural, I believe that's a big diference with other modern programming lang,but semanticly is similar to a lot other like C

Visual Basic have multiple pages connected with icons.
Microsoft Access is connected by groups and individuals within groups, each with different coding process.
Other programming languages such as Java, Active X and others are directly connected with the internet.
