| Well... Personally, I've been doing VB since vb3 so I am very used to its syntax. I also program in AS, C++, C#, JScript, etc... c-style languages. I would say the main advantage of vb vs. c# (besides being easier for me to whip out) is the naming schema's: For instance: Public MustInherit Class FriendShip End Class I know right off the bat I can't instantiate this class. And now that VB has Using too (not like the c# Using to import a namespace) we are all set as VB programmers ![]() __________________ Day Cares | Golf Courses | Disc Golf Courses | Campgrounds | Ice Rinks | Paintball Fields | Dentists | Plastic Surgeons | Aging Jokes Catholic Churches | Lutheran Churches | Methodist Churches | Episcopal Churches | Clean Jokes |

| Well, I personally not familiar with VB at all.. I never touched it lol **I'm willing to learn about it though** since now I'm going to play around with .NET stuff, I probably would compare my experience to code .NET with VB and C# and choose my preference. I've been several VBScript on .asp pages, I'm not sure the difference.. are there 3 VB languages? or 2? VB.NET, VBScript, and VB? or only VB.NET and VBScript? |

| Classic ASP is using VB Syntax. ASP.NET can use any .NET syntax. I used to think vb6 was the bomb compared to .NET but that was before I knew the true power of .NET! I'd say play around with VB.NET 2005 for about a month and you'll NEVER turn back! __________________ Day Cares | Golf Courses | Disc Golf Courses | Campgrounds | Ice Rinks | Paintball Fields | Dentists | Plastic Surgeons | Aging Jokes Catholic Churches | Lutheran Churches | Methodist Churches | Episcopal Churches | Clean Jokes |
