| Anyone want to help me making a simple PHP/MySQL CMS? Does anyone want to help me make a simple PHP/MySQL Content management system/blog? Ive made a prototype , you can add/edit/delete articles etc... but i would like some help with: an installer security, logins anti sql-injection make it look nicer wysiwig interface i think we could make a pretty neat Opensource project out of it and all learn something about php/mysql. Anyone is welcome to join in, just so long as they have a knowlege of html/css and access to a webserver (XAMPP is fine) Please reply if interested |

| Thats good. I would like the installer to ask you for the details for mysql database/username/password and to make the MySQL tables etc as currently you have to manually fill out the conf.php then run the .sql file. an installer would be a big improvement It would be very helpful if you could work on the CSS and Installer. Im currently playing about with it right now (trying to get a search function) but here are somke screenies. Ill post the code later today / early tomorrow |

| Okay Ive just gone through and removed all copyrights/branding etc... and included the necesarry documentation so that its now compatible with the GPL v2. Todo list and roster
That leaves security, in particular some mechanism for logins as well as hardening it against sql-injection methods. I may also take a cursory look at implementing a wysiwig interface (for bold, underline etc... in articles) Lee, you are welcome to grab yourself a copy of XAMPP or something and play around as I would like some feedback from and end-users point of view. Please tell us of any bugs you spot and also tell us how easy it was to follow the readme and anything you think we could add/make better. I will be the maintainer for this project. When/if anyone makes any code changes please submit them here and we will collate them and call it a new version. The code below shall be v0.1. Extract the zip using winrar, 7zip or whatever and then read the README file for info on configuring and installing the software. Last edited by jbennet : 06-11-2007 at 11:00 AM. |
