[SOLVED] Why are Macs regardes as so much better than PCs when it comes to art or mus

i was just wondering; i have a handfull of art teachers and musician friends that are devoted to their macbooks, and i was wondering if anyone could explain the phenomenaum...

Best guess is that Macs handled graphics better originally and that sticks for a lot of people. I don't think there's that much difference now, although a lot of design shops and digital arts staffs still use Macs.

I think that's pretty good guess, but I don't think that's true. I think what handles graphics better is just dependent on the system itself. If you have PC that priced the same as MAC (about $2000 for G4..?) then you probably can get better graphic card + 24" monitor + cool mouse

I agree, they're pretty equal now aside from price

I'm thinking back to the pre Windows days when most graphic software was on the Mac and not ported to PC.
