[SOLVED] why do i need the huge java runtime enviro. program ? i just got a new cpu..

...that only has 2 GB for hard drive? i want to figure out a way i can have access to all the programs i might need but i dont know which ones i need running all the time or at least more often then not. i have this tool that turns my gmail into a space i can store files. cant i just use that then grab whatever i happened to need then and there. i also have this codec lite a/v pack that should have all i need for media but i dont know if i am supposed to open some of the things manually using something out of the codec when i need it or if it isnt there to begin with. i wish if i tried watching something it would just play grabbing whatever it needed itself. i know there is a download for this somewhere. i know it is possible for my cpu to play a video off youtube w/o skipping and stalling. i cant watch anything until it runs all the way through then i pull the bar back and it plays fine. but i know i can get it to play w/o this trouble i just dont know how. are there any connections or software i can get to optimize my wa
