| Ruby isn't very fast in comparison to other languages, and as far as I know, doesn't come with a native 3D library (though since Qt does OpenGL, maybe QtRuby would do). Even Java is thought to be too slow for 3D (Quake was originally going to be done in Java3D but this idea was dropped for performance reasons). Ruby's a fantastic language, this just isn't its strong point. |
