| [SOLVED] Is ruby a language where u can create programs from the code or does it stay ...in the code form? I'm a beginner to ruby and i'm using HacketyHack to learn it. if i make something, can i send it to someone who doesnt know and/or use ruby for them to try out? |

| To the best of my understanding you can keep Ruby in code form (like files), or you can slap a GUI over top of the code for people to interact with it like a desktop application or a website. I am very new to Ruby but am really enjoying learning about it and what it can do. |
