I'll write the same things I did on my pc.. why wont it work?

I put <title> ___ </title> and it doesnt show up? It only shows up as actual writing
oh and what program do you use? text editor doesnt let you do html i guess. theres no notepad on macs.. can we download one for it? to do simple html?

By default TextEdit is in RTF mode. To use it as a text editior not a word processor choose Format > Make Plain Text then it'll be a text editor.

I have a mac too...

first make sure thats the right code.
next make sure your typing it in a place that allows html bucause some don't
