| GET and POST methods Does anyone know exactly when to use the GET and when to use the POST methods, why and why not? Thanks in advance. Last edited by TeraTask : 10-15-2008 at 04:24 PM. Reason: Irrelevant links |

| The GET method puts the information in the address bar e.g. something like this: http://www.mysite.com/page.php?variable=myvariable This is best used for passing data between pages that isn't private. The POST method sends the data behind the scenes, which protects the data. Best used for Passwords & emails, etc. For more info: GET and POST methods |
