[SOLVED] Do you think ASP programming language is on its way out?

should drop it and switch to asp.net? the more explanations the better, need to make business decisions soon! or should I keep developing software in that language until its imperative to switch?

When new language or any new version comes , there is no definite thing to say you should go with the newer thing. It all depend on RETURN ON investment & how much u have to pay to change current scenarios to new one(newer products). And you think like this. Well “ what make me easier”+ “how much time I can save from new thing”+ ”is it going to reduce the risk”+ ”is it going to give a stunning deference in compare the current scenarios” . then make a decision.

How ever I can say u that start some Research and development projects(simple projects on .NET) then little by little go to that area.

It will always work and do a great job as long as you have the server software to run it. I code in ASP and the work isn't stopping. .NET is bull$hit if you ask me. I mean yes, it will do all sorts of things, but I haven't even done 1/100th of what ASP is capable of yet. I have NEVER ran into ANYTHING I could not do with ASP.

BUT, it never hurts to learn new things. If you are willing to put forth the effort, then yes, go for it.
