Isometric Game

I want to make a game with an Isometric style but I'm not sure how to get started, should I find an engine? Make it with OpenGL?

I want to make it in C++, although it would be a lot easier if I done it in TS :D

In the end I don't care how I make it just as long as I make it :D

Doing some more research; SDL looks suited for this kind of thing.

Make it with Flash

Flash has made sooo many advancements (almost a full OOP language now and with free Flex 2 SDK and FlashDevelop.org :: Index you don't even need Flash to develop Flash).

What language is flash in?

Is it hard to learn?

What will I need to use Flash and develop a game?

Can you recommend any good places to start out?
