weezy8802 is on a distinguished road
Rookie looking for mentor

I have been trying to learn a lot of different programming languages. I was told that to start I should use python. I am very computer literate and am wanting someone to help me in my quest to become on of the best programmers (well that is my dream). I work hard and am always on my pc. i am familliar with a few different OS and am willing to experiment with the ones i have not tried yet. I dont really think that someone is going to spend the time to help me, but its one of the few ways that i can venture out to find help. Well all i can do is hope fr the best outcome from this thread!

well, if this is your goal, then go for it! start by looking some simple tutorials, I'd personally didn't start off with Python, but if you have that preference, then you're free to start off with any languages you wanted to... The most important though, is to understand the fundamentals, and when you do, you'll learn other languages easily.. nothing is magic, let us know if you've any errors or something that you don't understand, ask here..

Many programmers here have their own expertise and most of the time, they can help you even if that's out of their expertise, why.. because they know the fundamentals of programming languages

good luck with your journey and welcome to PT!

Here's a tutorial for you to start off
