Makes the system so much easier. Idea is they buy credits, enter a competition say for 1 credit (1 credit cost $1) then if they win the competition then all the others loose 1 credit and that person gets all the credits, if that person then wants to claim there money they trade credits for money. So basically its about making it simpler to use i think. Anyway back on topic, how would i go about taking money with user permission then paying it back to them when they want it back?

AH~ Sorry, I didn't know on the detail of the system.. so it's more like a gambling system yea? hmm... I'm not sure with the detail of the payment system, but I'm pretty sure that it's better for you to think about the price of the encryption certification. Paypal probably is a cheaper solution, however, some business minded people thought that it is not going to be beneficial because Paypal will take percentage out of the payment that you received. (I think it's only if they pay with credit card, but you need to double check on this one..) Last edited by Lee : 10-13-2007 at 04:38 PM. Reason: didn't mean to thought it was my post, all un-done.

I would not call it a gambling script, its not a place a bet and hope, its pay entrace fee and show your skills. This is why i am asking, now i can look into encryption certification, seeing how you say it costs probably means i wont get this working and back to the drawing board. edit: just found out i can generate on on my host for each dedicated ip i get (have 8 ip's avaliable) Another edit: cost for 2 years for one server in the US/Canada = US $2,695 (excluding taxes) my plan is down the drain for that lol, though i am sure you do not need one for users to make transactions.__________________ ![]() Great looking text - by just typing into a box you can create great looking text for your msn names, myspace, bebo, netlog, facebook and more Last edited by Lee : 10-13-2007 at 04:49 PM.

To collect payments from people you need a few things: 1) If you're using PayPal, just use PayPal. No secure stuff needed at all as payments take place on their secure system. Just login to your account and get the buttons you need for payment. Additionally, you can use their IPN system to be notified of payments and integrate that directly into your system. I also recommend using Google's Checkout as processing fees are free through the end of this year (at least in the US) and normally you get free processing on a multiple of your Adwords spend. 2) If you're going to collect money from credit cards directly then you will need a dedicated IP and a secure certificate and a payment processor. The payment processor will assess a fee for collecting the money as well as a few other things. PayPal and Google are usually cheaper. When getting a secure certificate do not generate your own or your users will get messages about the certificate not being issued by a trusted certificate authority (CA), instead buy one from GoDaddy. No need to get the expensive ones at all - they provide no greater security. Depending on the payment processor you choose you'll have to code something to interface with their API. For these sales it may be helpful to use a shopping cart like Zen Cart and customize it for your needs. Any of these options will require some decent PHP skills so check things out and make sure you're not getting in over your head. And, good luck on the venture!
