Hey,

I am great, life treating me well at the moment, i am back to college and have just set up a site which i hope to sort out more soon, wouldn't say theres anything exciting in my life at the minute apart from i will be home along as of Sunday early hours for a week .

Next language i don't really have, i am constantly learning about VB.NET and have been learning about C++ quite a bit, i would say C++ would be my next language but hey ho lol.

1.) I'm great, thanks! I love what I do for a living, luckily I get paid to do it as well.

2.) Life in general is good; I bought new phones and stuff for my family so we can all keep in touch; My dad's health is improving, if ever so slightly.

3.) New: We just got hired by a client that will turn out to be our largest and most fun for me. Most of the stuff we do is web-presence type stuff for small businesses or people that want to blog - mostly CMS-type stuff. This new client will need something a bit different, mostly database optimization and work, so I'm really excited to be taking it on.


4.) Next language: As much as I hate it: Actionscript 3.0 (out of necessity, not desire >:[). My boss has gotten it into his head that we need to push Flash to clients because Flash is more expensive, but I don't know AS3, so I'm having to learn it, which in itself is fine, but I really don't like Flash. I'm a bit oldschool I guess and I think it's rather silly to use PHP to put stuff into MySQL, then use PHP pull it back out, then construct XML, then parse it with Flash again. Keep the layers to a minimum please


On another note:
How do you handle clients that don't understand that modifying the core site functionality increases cost?

It's great for me too, but I've had a LOT to learn!!! For some reason, reality forces me to learn more about website, while I wanted to learn much more in software and game development I have no idea what should I do lol.. I'm working on the department that will deal mostly about web programming, so I really want myself to be expert at it too!!! I hope you guys can help me

Flash is no longer a "designers" tool - it's a full OOP language so... I thouroughly enjoy Flash now Just hook into your classes and the rest is done from your classes, life is good!

yup, and... you don't need flash anymore, lol - you can just use textfiles and a compiler - check out Motion-Twin for a pure byte-code compiler without needing the Flash app itself!

With that's being said, Flash ActionScript is going to be really good also for the fundamental of game development. In fact, it's probably much easier and readily available to use... hmm... Just have to worry about Math, and Physics, moreover, you know that flash can also do 3D animation right..? check Swift 3D (I'm pretty sure that's the name..)

Life is good and bad. I was addicted to Online game, and I haven't programming much... Damn! How can I let those online game fool me. Anyway, I got bored of those game and now back to my programming life. The good news is that I quited my medical school, and enrolled for Computer Science. I currently study C language in my college. Since I used to have some background in C++, it is easy to study C language. I hope you guy still remember me... By the way, Congraulation to HelloWorld, he is still unbeatable poster. ^_^
