QueryString in PHP?

Hello, I wanted to get the value from the URL:

Code:
http://localhost/junkiez/code_quiz.php?swap_button=swap
so that I can know when to "swap" for the application that I'm working on... can anybody help me? Should I use GET as the method or POST? what's the difference? Well, since I'm trying to get the value from the URL, I'm currently using GET method...

What do you mean by "swap the number"? Where's the number you're mentioning?

Just assume that there are 6 numbers put in an array. Each time button is clicked, moved 1 to position 6 and shift it to the left once for all...

Example:
Code:
1 2 3 4 5 6 // before

button clicked

2 3 4 5 6 1 // after

I assume your array is in PHP.

PHP Code:
if ( isset($_GET['swap_button']) )
{
print_r($your_array);
// 1 2 3 4 5 6

$f $your_array[0];           // $f is now '1'

array_shift($your_array);      // $your_array is now '2,3,4,5,6'

array_push($your_array$f);   // throw $f onto the end of $your_array

print_r($your_array);
// 2 3 4 5 6 1

Not really correct output of print_r, but you get the idea.

What is really frustrating is when you find yourself thinking:

"I know there's a way to do this, but I have no idea what it is!"
