As far as the East Coast goes.
RISD is the best (Rhode Island School of Design).

Im in the South and here are my recommendations around here.

SCAD is really good (Savannah School of Design), they have 2 campuses, 1 in Atlanta and 1 in Savannah.

I also recommend Ringling School of Design in Sarasota.

I work in design for a Major Corporation, and we always look at SCAD and Ringling for Geographical reasons. But RISD is one of the best, i think there is a school in Maryland that is really good also.
