Flash CS3 uses ActionScript 3 as its engine, correct. It's not directly synonymous wiht the language for AS though because Flash 6 (MX) used AS1, Flash 7 and 8 used AS2 and Flash 9 uses as3. I would check out gotoandlearn.com - Free video tutorials by Lee Brimelow on the Flash Platform for nice interactive demos and examples
