See the following code and let me know if anything is incomplete or any error

new InitialContext();
Context envCtx = (Context) initCtx.lookup(

DataSource ds = (DataSource) envCtx.lookup(

I'm not sure with what you're doing, but you need to have something like this:

PHP Code:
private String bnDbDriver "org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver"//Driver for your database
private String bnDbId "jdbc:mysql://localhost/dbname"//database name
private String bnDbUser "username"// your username
private String bnDbPassword "password" //your password

//******************
//GET THE CONNECTION
//******************
Class.forName(bnDbDriver);
Connection myConnection DriverManager.getConnection(bnDbIdbnDbUserbnDbPassword);

//YOU SQL STATEMENT
Statement myStatement myConnection.createStatement();
String sqlQuery "YOR SQL STATEMENT";
myStatement.executeQuery(sqlQuery);
