Icon13 Why doesn't this SpriteFont work..?

                if (input.CurrentKeyboardState.IsKeyDown(Keys.PageDown))
                {
                    if (weaponType.Equals("Rocket"))
                    {
                        weaponType = "Machine Gun";
                    }
                    else if (weaponType.Equals("Machine Gun"))
                    {
                        weaponType = "Rocket";
                    }
                } 
I use that as the condition so that there's text that keep track which weapon is the one that I'm using right now. I'm drawing the String useing DrawString method in the Draw method of weaponType String that I initialized as "Rocket". It showed up, however, when I tried to change the text by pressing page down, it's kind of blinking around, seems like it's stucked from something.. I'm not sure what is that... I'm just wondering on what should I do to solve this problem and why do I get this problem..?

Here's the solution that I found: (Just make my code even longer... sigh...)

PHP Code:
                if (input.CurrentKeyboardState.IsKeyDown(Keys.PageUp))
                {
                    weaponType = weapons[1];
                }
                if (input.CurrentKeyboardState.IsKeyDown(Keys.PageDown))
                {
                    weaponType = weapons[0];
                } 
Though, I still don't understand why isn't my first code not working... Please give me explanation if anybody could.. thanx very well appreciate it

Well... what is your variable type for weaponType? Looks like first you tried to assign it directly to a string value, and then to an element in an array - is the element in the array a string or int or ???
