[SOLVED] I need a Christian PERL programmer (programming language)?

ideas on where i could find someone?
cotton... i cant understand how people can be so brainwashed into NOT believing that there is a God. do you not feel/sense that there is GOOD and EVIL? does that not point to the feeling of judgement - of something more? dont be biased - just think about it.
without God, there is no reason for reason - for morality, for love.. Einstein believed that God exists, as did Newton. as does Stephen Hawking. Maybe examine the evidence yourself instead of going off of what someone else tells you. then, maybe you'd at least keep from passing on information you know nothing about.
Psycho "Pretty confrontational for someone preaching about God.".
Oi. I just get upset when people say someone with a sound mind is illogical. "Faith" is illogical, right? like having "faith" that you are people? or having "faith" that your alarm clock will go off in the morning? by NO means am i suggesting a BLIND faith when it comes to Christianity, or anything else - but you must weigh the evidence for things. i know it's hard not to be biased - but try.

Being a programmer requires a commitment to logic and reason.

Being a Christian requires a rejection of logic and a commitment to blind faith.

Faith and reason are incompatible. You can not really understand logic and still believe in god.

First of all, those are appeals to authority, which are fallacies of reasoning. Second, I'd prefer you didn't put words in the mouths of some of the great thinkers.

No, it's not like that. The faith I have in my alarm clock is based on inductive reasoning. Faith in God (or any god), is not.

If you're looking for a Christian-oriented Perl programmer, look in a church. Saying that you filter out candidates based on religion is a bigoted slap in the face.

honorablepassion: If you're seeking something, I'd suggest sticking to what you're seeking and desisting from impeaching the views of others. It's perfectly fine to setup your own requirements for a programmer. It's contemptible to tell others that unless they think as you do they are "biased." I would suggest, in fact, that those who have chosen not to "believe" or "have faith" in something such as one or more "gods" have considered the other viewpoint; whereas those who "have faith" very often begin by rejecting any alternatives w/o consideration. Perhaps those considered as gods now were once Ori-like (see SciFi, lol) and by not considering the nature of the message you have subscribed yourself to a life of servitude to those whose only power is that which you grant them.

I am not a believer in any gods (though aliens with godlike powers may exist.) That does not necessarily imply a lack of any moral structure. For a human to live qua human, certain moral principles are necessary. However, if someone chooses to neglect or ignore those necessary principles, they will answer to the court of final appeal -- reality -- and not god. None of us can escape reality no matter how vehemently we work at ejecting ourselves from it.
