hey,

I am really getting into the linux things, i have a computer without a HD as it died on me, and i would like to get it running with linux on as my birthday is in 7 days i will have the money for the HD, i was wondering what version of linux i should get?

i will be installing wine etc... so i can use window apps, im planning on using for programming and software dev.


just wondering what people would recommend for this?
